Why Industrial Engineers Are the MVPs of Continuous Improvement Industrial engineers are the unsung heroes of continuous improvement projects. Whether it’s streamlining processes, boosting productivity, or reducing costs, these professionals combine technical know-how with strategic thinking to drive tangible results. 💡 But here’s the challenge: recruiting top-tier industrial engineers isn’t always straightforward. As a recruiter who lives and breathes staffing, I’ve seen hiring managers grapple with two key issues: 1️⃣ Identifying candidates with the right mix of analytical skills and hands-on experience. 2️⃣ Convincing these in-demand professionals to join their team, especially when the competition is fierce. So, how can you attract industrial engineers who will hit the ground running? Let’s break it down: 1. Highlight the Impact They’ll Make 📈 Industrial engineers thrive when they can see their work making a difference. During the hiring process, focus on how their efforts will contribute to real-world improvements—whether it’s reducing production time, optimizing workflows, or improving employee safety. Let them know they’ll have a tangible impact. 2. Flexibility is a Must 🧩 Many industrial engineers look for roles where they can wear multiple hats. When describing the job, emphasize the variety in responsibilities—projects in logistics, quality control, or even supply chain management. A dynamic work environment can be a huge draw. 3. Keep the Interview Process Engaging 🤝 Top talent doesn’t stick around for long. Create a recruitment process that respects their time while showcasing your company’s culture. Give candidates opportunities to connect with key stakeholders and even see ongoing improvement projects if possible. Recruiting industrial engineers isn’t just about filling a vacancy—it’s about finding the innovators who will elevate your operations. Want to know the best part? When you get it right, you’re not just hiring an employee; you’re gaining a strategic partner for growth. 🌟 What qualities do you think make an industrial engineer a standout hire? Drop your thoughts in the comments! I’d love to hear your perspective. I’m Orlando, a partner at KBOtek, where I specialize in helping hiring managers find exceptional talent. From hard-to-fill positions to large-scale hiring projects, I’m here to connect you with candidates who align perfectly with your goals. #IndustrialEngineering #Recruiting #ContinuousImprovement #EngineeringTalent #StaffingSolutions #KBOtek #Hiring #RecruitmentTips #TalentAcquisition

Manufacturing, quality, software and automation engineers are in high demand in the UK! If you work in the industry you're probably sick and tired of hearing from recruiters. I totally get the notion of wanting to bypass the recruiter and applying directly to the role. However, the benefit of working with me is that I'm the first to know about my clients new roles before they advertise them. And I know if you'd actually be interested to hear about them. I know my clients and my candidates well. At Primaire, we're scrutinious with our process and we only match candidates with our clients if we genuinely beleive they'll be a mutually good match. Which goes beyond salary and location. I will not call my candidates if I'm not sure they will be interested in the role and they will be a great match for the client. It's a waste of time, and it means candidates lose trust that you know what you're doing! At Primaire, we have a 97% on our placements (based on first 12 months) So I'm pretty confident I can find my candidates a role they'll be happy in. If you want to partner with a recruiter who can represent you and find you the best roles in a competitive market, drop me a message! #engineering #engineers #hiring

From the conversations I've had recently with my clients, I've noticed some key skills which are in demand at the moment. ⚡ If you're an engineer looking to break into the battery industry, keep these in mind to increase your chances for success: 🔋 Join industry groups and attend virtual seminars or conferences, employers love to see someone who has a genuine interest in the space! 📈 Stay informed on industry trends, bring these up in conversations with hiring managers. Employers value candidates who not only have technical skills but also understand the broader context in which they operate. Stephanos Savva's Watt's Current is a personal favourite! 📖 Pursue certifications or additional training to demonstrate that you’re committed to staying ahead of the curve. For example, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing for process and manufacturing engineers. 🤝 Team dynamics and communication are very important. Teamwork is also key part of your day to day as an engineer, so have some experiences from past projects which illustrate how you work well with others. 🖋 Tailor your resume to showcase only the most relevant skills which align directly to the JD, highlight specific projects and research where you have made a large impact. 🌐 Create a polished LinkedIn profile with a strong headline and a detailed summary, and a list of your skills, certifications, and publications. Share articles or write posts about developments in the battery industry to demonstrate your expertise. This will allow you to make a positive impression before that initial conversation. ⚗ Next generation technologies are going to be the norm soon, so hands on experience with Sodium-ion, Lithium Metal and All Solid-State Batteries will be extremely important in the coming years. 👨💻 With the rise of AI and software dependence, Battery Modeling and BMS knowledge is valuable to any employer and will continue to rise in demand as time goes on! 💡 Connect with mentors or peers to share insights, to find out how you can get ahead of the curve. As a recruiter in the battery engineering space, I’m always keen to support those growing their expertise. Let’s connect! #BatteryEngineering #CareerDevelopment #Hiring
