What an epic day at Microsoft Ability Summit! The summit brought together 20,000 attendees from 168 countries to discuss the future of AI and accessibility, Congratulations to the most amazing leaders, role models and powerhouse women Jessica Rafuse and Jenny Lay-Flurrie 👏 A few takeaways: - Normalize disabled people being experts in subjects beyond just disability. - AI is accelerating the journey to make technology easier for everyone. - Microsoft launched the Xbox Adaptive Joystick, which they created in partnership with the Gaming & Disability community. - Inaccessible travel limits Disabled employees' access to networking, conferences, and executive meetings, contributing to their severe underrepresentation in leadership, less than 3%. It was an absolute honor to be there with Sophie Morgan discussing tech, accessibility, disability representation, Making Space and Making Space Media! #DisabilityRights #RightsOnFlights Image description: Sophie, Jenny, Jessica and Keely take a selfie on the Microsoft Ability Summit set, and individual shots of Sophie and Keely both speaking on the set.
