McDonald's promotes new Chief Supply Chain Officer 👏 The global fast food chain has promoted Cesar Pina to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer for North America, effective October 1st. Piña, currently serving as Vice President of Global Supply Chain, has been with the company for almost a decade and will now be tasked with improving the resiliency of its supply chain by partnering with suppliers, employees and franchise owners. He will replace Bob Stewart, who recently announced his retirement, following an impressive 30 years with the business. Marion Gross, EVP & Global Chief Supply Chain Officer, commented: "Cesar has made significant contributions across his 10-year McDonald’s career to drive meaningful change to our global supply chain and the System at large, and there is no doubt that he is the right leader to carry forward McDonald’s priorities." Piña added: "At this moment in time of rapid change, balancing the needs of today with the expectation to drive long-term positive results means there has never been a more important time to prioritize business resiliency." "The scale and resources of McDonald’s matched with the power to convene suppliers, NGOs, academia and government stakeholders put us in a unique position to help build a resilient food supply chain.” #News #Food #Drinks #Consumer #SupplyChain #Executive #Leadership
