The Key to Successful Sales in Hospitality? Empathy..... is the answer. In the Hospitality industry, sales is more than just numbers and transactions—it's about building genuine relationships and understanding your clients' needs on a deeper level. Empathy helps us anticipate those needs, tailor our services, and ultimately deliver an unforgettable experience. Whether it's a corporate event or a personal celebration, taking the time to listen and show that you truly care makes all the difference. In a fast-paced industry like ours, it’s easy to focus solely on closing deals, but the real value lies in creating lasting connections. When we approach sales with empathy, we not only meet expectations but exceed them, turning one-time clients into lifelong partners. #HospitalitySales #EmpathyInSales #CustomerExperience #ClientRelationships #HospitalityIndustry. #industryilove

Many hotel salespeople suggest they only need to get clients to do a site and they will earn their business. Like this is the magical piece of the puzzle. But, the math just doesn't work out. That would mean a very high conversion rate (something many don't measure) for that part of the process. Here are several reasons I've seen salespeople stumble at this stage (as a sales leader and customer). They can be overconfident, and rely too much on the product… 🤔"The hotel sales itself." Or the "presentation" isn't well-rehearsed… 🤔 And they're on autopilot highlighting feature after feature after feature. They don't understand what the customer was trying to accomplish… 🤔So they just wing it. They lack confidence and appear unsure. 🤔You can tell by all of filler words and phrases like, "which is great." They're uncomfortable answering questions about terms and conditions. 🤔And sidestep the topic leaving the customer guessing. Then there are those sellers that just nail it. 👉They know how to create an experience. 👉They focus on helping the customer. 👉They ask questions. 👉They're confident. 👉Because they're prepared. #hotelindustry #hospitalityindustry #hotelsales #hospitalityleadership #hospitalityleaders #hospitalitysales #salesleadership #leadershipdevelopment #travelandtourism #hospitalitymanagement #luxuryhospitality #hospitalitytrends #hotelmarketing #hospitalitymarketing

Steve Jobs' Secret Weapon for 10X Hospitality Tech Sales (𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬) Ever pitched a complex solution to a hotel GM, only to see their eyes glaze over? I've been there. In fact, I once lost a million-dollar deal because our product suite was "𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙." That day changed everything. Here's a 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 idea: What if the key to closing more deals isn't adding features, but 𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 your offering? Two hospitality tech vendors: • Vendor A: Offers 20 different software solutions • Vendor B: Specializes in 3 essential products that directly address client challenges 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀? If you guessed B, you're catching on. 💡 Steve Jobs captured this perfectly when he said: "𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙭. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚." 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝟮𝗕 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵. Let's break it down: 1. It sharpens your 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, reducing sales cycles 2. It 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, boosting your profit margins 3. It enhances 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, driving renewals and referrals 🎯 Consider Toast, the restaurant POS leader. They simplified their offering to focus on core restaurant management solutions. The result? Revenue hit $2.7 billion in 2022. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲? Here's your 3-step action plan: 1. 🔍 Identify your 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲-𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 superpower. Which solutions solve critical pain points for hotels or restaurants? 2. ⚡ Streamline your sales process. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 not contributing to closing high-ticket deals. 3. 🎯 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗮 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵. Explain your value proposition to a busy hotel GM in 10 seconds. 🤔 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙭 𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘽2𝘽 𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩, 𝙞𝙛 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙, 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚?
