🚰 A Day in the Life: Water Fetching in Butambala 💧 Join us as we shed light on a vital aspect of daily life for children in Butambala: water fetching. Our dedicated social worker recently accompanied them on this essential task, offering insights into the challenges they face and the resilience they demonstrate. 🌅 Morning Ritual: With the break of dawn, children in Butambala set out on their journey to fetch water. Armed with jerry cans and determination, they traverse rugged terrain, braving long distances and uncertain paths. 🚶🏾♀️ A Journey of Resilience: Walking for miles, children navigate through fields and forests, their footsteps echoing the daily struggle for access to clean water. Despite the physical exertion, their spirits remain unbroken, fueled by the urgency of their mission. 💦 Precious Resource: Arriving at the water source, children eagerly fill their containers with precious liquid gold. Each drop symbolizes not only hydration but also hope for a better tomorrow—a tomorrow where clean water is accessible to all. 🌄 Evening Endeavor: As the sun begins to set, children embark on their second journey of the day, retracing their steps to replenish their households' water supply. The cycle repeats itself, day in and day out, a testament to their unwavering resilience and determination. With the support of you our friends, at Another Hope Children’s Ministries, we understand the toll that water fetching takes on children in Butambala. That's why we're committed to constructing water tanks in households, relieving children of this burden during the rainy season. Together, we can ensure that clean and safe water is not just a dream but a reality for every child. 🎊 Today I’m super proud of my #KambeRibe community, a small but resilient ethnic minority located at the deep grassroots level of Kilifi County, blessed with mineral wealth yet burdened by decades of unchecked exploitation, impunity, and corruption 😪 . Since we were young, we’ve witnessed the dust clouds from Simba Cement (formerly known as Athi River Mining), breathing in air that brings more harm than good. Livestock loss, constant health issues, and the cracks running through our homes from regular blasting have been our unfortunate reality, while community development remains non existent. For years, I fought against this impunity, often threatened by those in power for raising my voice. But with Hon. Joha’s recent visit, our struggles are finally in the open. We deserve true partnership and benefit-sharing in our ancestral lands, and I’m inspired to see our community stand strong for what’s rightfully ours. #JusticeForKambeRibe #ItsMwadena

🌟 From Training to Triumph: Akado Parish Leads the Way in PDM Excellence! 🌟 I’m thrilled to share the incredible journey of Akado Parish in Kalongo Town Council, which now stands out as a leader in the Parish Development Model (PDM) across the entire Agago district! Just a while back, I had the privilege of training the dedicated community of Akado Cell in Community-Led Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (CoLMEAL). Through this training, the community members gained the skills and knowledge to take charge of their own development. Today, their hard work and commitment have paid off in remarkable ways: ✅ PDM Excellence: Akado Parish has become a model of success in the implementation of PDM, setting the standard for the entire Agago district. Their proactive involvement in planning, monitoring, and executing development initiatives has driven significant progress. ✅ Community Empowerment: The CoLMEAL training empowered the community to identify their needs, monitor outcomes, and ensure accountability. This has not only improved service delivery but also strengthened local leadership and decision-making. ✅ Sustainable Growth: With a solid foundation in CoLMEAL, Akado Parish has fostered sustainable development, driving economic growth and improving livelihoods for all. ✅ Inspiring Others: Akado Parish's achievements are now inspiring neighboring communities to adopt similar approaches, spreading the impact of CoLMEAL and PDM across Agago. This success story is a testament to the power of community-led development and the impact of CoLMEAL in empowering people to create positive change. Akado Parish has shown that with the right tools and commitment, communities can achieve remarkable things. Let’s continue to celebrate and support these local champions as they lead the way in sustainable development! 🚀🌍 #PDM #CoLMEAL #Empowerment #AkadoParish #SustainableGrowth #Agago #ParishDevelopmentModel#ADRA # Together Project

🌍 Children are the future generations of farmers, teachers, nurses, doctors, inventors, investors, entrepreneurs, nurturers, thinkers, and activists of the world. A full education opens the door for them to better livelihoods, job opportunities, and independent incomes. 🏫 There are 16 schools situated around the edges of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP) in Uganda, in very close proximity to mountain gorilla habitats. By improving the health and well-being of the children and teachers in these schools, we can help save the lives of the mountain gorillas.📚🦍 🚰 Water has been a consistent theme in our community-led conservation efforts. In partnership with The Gorilla Organization, we have initiated, built, and grown the Bwindi Community Projects in the communities around the BINP. Providing clean, accessible water and hygienic sanitation means more time available for work and school; families can lift themselves out of poverty, increase literacy, and improve the prospects of future generations. #ThatGorillaBrand #BwindiCommunityProjects #InspiringImpact
