🚫 FMCSA Denies Owner-Operators’ Request for ELD Exemption! The FMCSA has denied a request from owner-operators seeking an exemption from the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) mandate due to high costs. 💸 Despite arguments that ELD costs put financial strain on small trucking businesses, the FMCSA maintained that safety and compliance take precedence. What’s the impact? ELDs remain mandatory for all trucking businesses. No exemption for small fleets or owner-operators despite financial concerns. The decision reinforces the FMCSA's stance on safety regulations. What’s your opinion on this decision? Replace the revoked ELDs with compliant devices** from the Registered Devices list by February 16, 2025.
