Torquer was thrilled to unveil our new and improved HALO 2000SP at this year's Vertikal Days 2024, held at the Newark Showground, UK. The level of interest was incredible, with most attendees eager to learn about the impressive safety features of our hands-free autonomous load orientation device. The ability to control the load's orientation, without the use of tag lines, eliminates the need for personnel working beneath a suspended load in the hazardous drop zone. This was a major highlight for many. Another key point of interest was the time-saving aspect, directly tied to productivity. The HALO 2000SP begins to pay for itself from the first use, as saving time inevitably means saving money. We extend our gratitude to Select Plant Hire for supplying one of the HALO units from their fleet, along with a PowerSkid used in the demonstration. We also thank Ainscough for providing the crane and the skilled team who operated it during the event. Additionally, we showcased the innovative SPEAR hands-free lifting device. Attendees were impressed by how easily the SPEAR dropped into the catcher, automatically engaging the device to lift the load, and then disengaging when the crane operator set the load down. The fact that no one needs to climb ladders or scale the load to secure or release shackles, especially in hard-to-reach areas, makes the SPEAR another major safety device. From an operational efficiency standpoint, it’s a clear productivity booster.
