Linxens Communities Pillar of our Vitality responsibility program is about connecting with our communities in the environments we operate in, and a part of it is sharing our knowledge and expertise. The initiative led in Linxens Dresden, for the second time, is a great example. In Germany, Girls' Day is an annual day of action that aims to motivate teenagers and young women to take up technical and scientific professions, so-called "male occupations". Last week, four young girls, aged 14, swapped their classroom for an exciting adventure in the R&D and Production Hall at Dresden site! In the lab, they dove into the world of RFID technology and built their own transponders – a smartcard and a smart ring. 💳💍 They got hands-on experience and learned how these technologies make our daily lives easier. At the Production Hall the girls got to witness how their self-made transponders are produced on a large scale. Another highlight was peering through the microscope in Quality Assurance – a fascinating look into the world of precision and attention to detail! It was a complete success! A huge thank you to everyone who made this day so special. We can’t wait to welcome more young, motivated talents next year. Let's trust that a few years from now, the seed we have planted will grow as they join the career!
