Local in-person events are giving you access to rooms you would never be able to join otherwise.
I've never experienced this fact so vividly like on Pavilion's #GTM2024 in Austin. Lauren Shleifer Goldstein led an outstanding session on "Organizing GTM Operating Capabilities for PE and VC firms", which opened my eyes to the fact above.
During the pandemic, I've been a huge fan of online formats. While it was a pure necessity to be online vs. face to face, I felt that it opened up an endless opportunity to learn and grow for me. However, after a while things became repetitive, energy draining and I disconnected.
The pure and unique thing about meeting in person is that every interaction could be an opportunity to open up a completely new part of your network, a new perspective on a perception you had or simply a door to a room which I would just not have able to tap into being connected online.

The last two days of the event were full of encouraging conversations with agents who share a common ethos of “helping people” first and foremost! That theme of helping people and simply being good human beings kept coming up over and over for me! I met great people from all corners of the globe including South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Portugal, not to mention all over the united states. From the streets of Miami, to the halls of the convention, to the networking events late into the evenings, the relationships make the experience so much more enjoyable!
Words can’t capture the feeling of being in all the rooms. The friendliness of the attendees, the positive outlook, the encouragement, and the culture of the event was way more optimistic than you would think considering the current state of the real estate market nationwide. Everywhere I went, people were excited to chat, find out about your business and encourage each other at this amazing company that I am blessed to be a part of!
I was super excited to see some major updates to eXp’s revenue share model which will be rewarding agents who sell more real estate with additional income opportunities. It can get complicated so feel free to message me and I’ll walk you through it. In summary, eXp is making it easier for agents who sell a high volume of real estate with additional income streams that are better than what it was before.
Topics covered in the breakout sessions I attended included exploring alternative business models with more leverage, overcoming objections, planning better events, and being a better leader through improving your influence. I learned a lot, took tons of notes, and plan to implement several things right away to help move the needle in my business.
Last, but not least, I was so energized by a week full of people and events, I had no problem getting up on the last day without an alarm clock, running for 6.5 miles along the ocean front, and still having one last lunch with amazing new friends from Alaska before heading to the airport!
