Leonardo Aircraft’s Post

At Military Flight Training 2025, taking place in Italy from 31 March to 2 April, Leonardo unveiled the enhanced #M346 Block 20 cockpit—featuring an advanced Human-Machine Interface (#HMI) with a Large Area Display designed to replicate the operational environment of next-generation combat aircraft.   This cockpit significantly enhances pilot situational awareness, reduces cognitive workload, and supports an intuitive, high-fidelity training experience, ensuring a seamless transition to front-line platforms.   A state-of-the-art #trainer that, in its operational configuration, is equipped with an #AESA radar featuring fire control capability and extended detection range, integrated precision-guided munitions, and a tactical datalink, delivering full mission flexibility across both air-to-air and air-to-ground roles.   The M-346 Block 20 cockpit will be integrated into a prototype by mid-2027, with the first #aircraft delivery by the end of 2028. #MFT2025

Impressive work from Leonardo As someone who collaborated with your team on the NH90 program during my time at Aernnova Aerospace I truly value the impact of this type of cockpit innovation on performance and training efficiency. A great step forward for military flight training!
