I'm excited to announce that today is my first day as Strategy Director at LENs Company Ltd! LENs (Landscape Enterprise Networks) has been designed and developed by 3Keel, a consultancy that I’ve admired for years, and also a founding member of the Carbon Accounting Alliance. In my career break, I reflected on the impact I wanted to have on the world. I wanted to be: 💰 Where money meets nature ✅ Providing a tangible solution rather than just advising ➰ Embracing a holistic approach, without tunnel vision 🤝 Working collaboratively and in partnership with various stakeholders 🥕 Ideally, getting geeky with our food system I also have felt an entrepreneurial calling to be building something again with a values-aligned team. I didn’t think I could find it all in a role and a company, but somewhat incredibly I may have hit the jackpot. LENs helps farmers transition to regenerative agriculture, implement flood prevention measures and create space for wildlife. It’s also a solution for companies to develop resilient value chains, tackle their Scope 3 carbon emissions and achieve their nature goals. It’s an established programme already funnelling tens of millions of pounds to farmers in LENs regions across Europe, with more in the pipeline. What makes LENs special is their collaborative approach enabling co-investment from diverse stakeholders from big FMCG to local authorities and utility companies. I also appreciate their holistic approach to impact and advanced MRV, with proven outcomes including increasing soil health & organic carbon, improving biodiversity & livelihoods. In my new role, I’ll be focused on solidifying our go-to-market and tech strategy, raising capital and improving processes, governance and delivery. I’m grateful to Simon, Donald, Tom, Mary, Will, Richard, and the entire leadership team for your trust.
