📣 Advocacy in action & impact!📣 On April 9th, LeadingAge Virginia brought a powerhouse team of mission-driven members to Capitol Hill for one of the most active advocacy days of the year at #LeadingAge25. We met with Virginia's Representatives Wittman, McClellan, Scott, and Senator's Kaine and Warner to elevate the needs of older adults and those who care for them. The message? Clear, urgent, and backed by lived experience: ✅ No cuts to Medicaid ✅ More affordable housing ✅ Legal pathways for international workers ✅ Protect tax-exempt bonds ✅ Fund Area Agencies on Aging With stories, solutions, and determination, our members showed what it means to lead with purpose.
