Norway has one of the world's strongest judicial frameworks to protect parents in the workplace. Yet, a high number of parents face discrimination before, during and after parental leave. "Supporting parents in the workplace is not only about reducing sickness absence and turnover. It is also about inclusion, equality, and social sustainability for future generations,” said Mette Schjelderup from Landsforeningen 1001 dager She participated in the insightful discussion focusing on The New Generation of Parents at Work, hosted by BI together with 1001 dager and SHE Community. The panelists made it clear: These issues are structural and political, requiring widespread action, awareness and dialogue to drive meaningful change. Thank you to everyone who participated!

This was such a fun and motivating morning! 🙌 Fantastic to feel the energy of so many key actors coming together to address the situation of today's parents at work. Real change is going to happen, and today marked a great start! We have a big job ahead of us. Parents, employers and politicians, with Lived Experience and parental mental health at the core. Thank you SHE Community and Handelshøyskolen BI for lifting the conversation. Thank you to all the amazing speakers and panelist. And thank you to everyone who took their time to join. To be continued! 🧠 🚀
