From process simulation and doing all those engineering optimization work, operator training simulator to now doing interior design, construction, and renovation. On top of it i'm a well trained carpenter. Adaptability. Now learning on accounting and taxing. Its true learning never stops. Sometimes you want to have a little bit of time off when you become older, but Allah has a better plan for you. Since i was 14, uphill challenges made me to adapt by learning many new things. i've sold nasi goreng during UTP time, sold kuih and burger during my internship time, sold chicken chop and soya bean when i just began my career as process engineer at scientige and sciensim, offer personal tutor class for spm and pmr students, teach chemistry, physics, add maths in a tuition center part time, sold kids scarf and cloths, sold branded watch, and many others thing that i did whole my life. Never once have I had the chance to be in a comfort zone nor doing the same thing in career (which is boring anyway😆). i embrace the path given by Allah even sometime it feels like i have broken inside. But all in all i never gave up and will always move forward.What I learn through this hardship is to appreciate even smaller things and be thoughtful and respectful to others. Engineering R&D Centre of Excellence to Bring Jobs and Apprenticeships to Swansea https://ift.tt/oiFDgbq A leading chemical engineering company is developing a Research & Development (R&D) centre of excellence in Swansea, creating jobs and apprenticeships. Liquitherm Technologies Group formulate and manufacture market-leading inhibited glycols, antifreeze solutions, coolants, and water treatment chemicals for protecting cooling and heating systems. The company has been awarded a Property Development Fund grant by Swansea Council, which it will use to help accelerate development of the former BT Openreach site at Heol Y Gors. The development will help Liquitherm expand their research and development facilities, with the intention of manufacturing a leading-edge range of heat transfer fluids incorporating nanoparticle technology. This will help create more jobs at the Heol y Gors site. A R&D Centre of Excellence is also planned to further develop Liquitherm’s advanced heat transfer products and services, which are aimed at reducing energy consumption for a wide range of industrial and domestic applications.   Steve Hickson, Liquitherm's founder and Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted that, in conjunction with the invaluable support of Swansea Council, we have obtained this funding, which will provide approximately 35% of the £1.3 million that’s required to complete phase one of the R&D Centre of Excellence project. “Liquitherm’s R&D programmes have proven intrinsic to our growth from a team of four in 1998 to 60-plus in 2024. “We are confident that the support provided via the Property Development Fund will help ensure the development of new hi-tech products and services that are focused on reducing energy consumption, lowering operating costs and minimising CO2 emissions. “The success of those new R&D projects will, in turn, generate more apprenticeships and long-term job opportunities for local communities.” The Property Development Fund – which is now closed for applications – was funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It was aimed at helping businesses with the costs of constructing or expanding buildings for industrial use in Swansea to generate additional employment. Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration and Tourism, said: “Liquitherm is an established business in Swansea that would not be able to deliver their plan for growth and further employment without this funding. “We’re delighted to help because what the company is planning will benefit local people by creating more jobs, as well as helping attract more investment to Swansea in the coming years because of the innovation and international profile their development will deliver. “As a council, grant funding of this kind is part of our commitment to supporting as many local businesses in Swansea as possible because they’re so important to our local economy.” As well as t...

I can still remember sitting in the front row during the orientation session for all IT students. It was my one-year student internship at NNPC, and each department head was supposed to give a brief introduction about their department and its importance. Everyone laughed when my departmental head stood up and started his speech by saying we, the maintenance department, were the "errand boys" of the organization. Of course, as a student of mechanical engineering, I was posted to work in the maintenance department. The name became a bit of a stigma for us students in that department. But here's the thing: at the end of the day, we were too important to be neglected. We were crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the machines and other internal equipment in various offices. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: every little department and person is of great importance to the overall success of an organization, irrespective of what you do or what name you are called. Don't let labels define your worth. A job title is just a label. You are an integral part of a larger system, and your contribution matters just as much as anyone else's. Find pride in your work. Whether you're tackling complex problems or ensuring basic functionality, your skills are essential. Take pride in the role you play and the impact you make. You are much more important than you think you are!
