Korion Health’s Post

More big news! In December, Korion Health was accepted to AlphaLab's Health Cohort and received a $100,000 investment!! This is one of the largest incubator programs in Pittsburgh, with joint investment from Innovation Works and Allegheny Health Network. This is a big deal for Korion because it's our first major "in" with a hospital system and payor network. It can be very challenging to innovate in the healthcare field because it’s so resistant to change. Partners who are on the inside, have access to patients, and have seen healthcare devices go to market will provide invaluable insights to our team. The accelerator will be a great way to get some pilot data and talk to experts in the field who have seen the commercialization process. We're also excited to dive into the strong curriculum, covering healthcare economics, marketing, financial modeling, and more, with a helpful list of speakers and business templates. It's also the first year that AlphaLab has combined multiple cohorts into one, creating a lovely mix of startup founders at similar stages in their company from which to learn and grow.
