Is your admissions team suffering from enrollment syndrome? ❌Enrollment Syndrome: 👉🏾Enrollment Leader: Tell me about Katie Brown. 🫤Advisor: Ummm, uhhhh, let me go get my stitch report. One sec. ✅An advisor who knows their book of business: 👉🏾Enrollment Leader: Tell me about Katie Brown. 😉Advisor: I enrolled her last Wedesday. She is working 2 part time jobs and has two kids. She has things in place to leave one job so she can start school. Since her kid's father passed, she knows she needs to step up. Financial aid is completed, she is picking up her uniforms tomorrow and she just gave me a referral. She is nervous but excited to start. ❓Do you know who your students are? #enrollment #admissions #process

Losing a job is never easy, but when you have a family to care for, the stakes feel even higher. In my latest Medium post, I open up about my recent layoff, navigating parenthood with 5-month-old twins, and finding resilience in the face of uncertainty. Writing has been a healing process, and I hope my story can inspire others facing similar challenges. Read more about my journey and how we can all find strength in moments of hardship. #Resilience #Parenthood #LayoffRecovery #MentalHealth #SelfGrowth

I couldn't agree more with this perspective on employee empowerment. As Henry Ford beautifully put it: "You can take my factories, burn up my buildings, but give me my people and I'll build the business right back again" This quote reminds us that employees are the backbone of any organization, and effective employment or leadership is about enabling them to thrive by providing clarity of goals, enough support, and the freedom to excel. When employees feel valued and trusted, they become not just workers, but committed partners in driving organizational success.

I don’t care whether you come into the office at 9 am. I don’t care if you choose to work from home or not. I don’t care if you work from the garage while they fix your car. I hired you for a job and I trust you to get it done. Just let me know what you need from me to be successful in your role. And I will show up for you. Life happens! You don’t need to justify to me why you need a day off. You don’t need to explain how sick your child is to leave early. You don’t need to apologize for having a personal life. Yes, I care about results but I also care about you. We are all human and we are all adults. I lead people. I don’t run an adult day care center. My advice for anyone hiring: 1. Select the right people. 2. Agree on deliverables (be crystal clear). 3. Provide proper tools and support. 4. Get out of their way. ***Agree?

Couldn’t agree more.. Give your employees opportunity, support, resources and take care of them financially now rest just monitor them conquering everything in their way. Micro management keep failing and never happened to deliver a successful or even a loyal employee. Create leaders today..they will help you build the future…create bosses and watch the failure happen no matter how hard you try.

Last chance to register!! Parental Guilt is a term thrown around in online mom groups and between colleagues often. It has become a catch-all phrase for the awful feeling parents have to sit with when they attempt to do something for themselves, including returning to work after a parental leave. It's common because most parents have high standards for themselves, which is a good thing. But, if they don’t have strategies to manage their life roles and own feelings and expectations around them, it can damage their own perception of self and wreak havoc on their careers. Jennifer Sumner works with parents in career transitions and has developed strategies to help them transition back into the workforce with confidence while also maintaining balance with their other life roles. In this lunch and learn we will explore specific strategies you can use with your clients and community and provide further insight into why this transition is an important, but often under supported stage in their careers. Join us to find out more on May 15, 2024 from 12pm - 1pm. Register here: https://ow.ly/clw550RrivV

Our young adult clients have fear over disappointing their parents. My clients are afraid to tell their parents, "I don't like my major" or "I regret studying this subject"... especially with the financial implication. As parents, it's up to us to be open to what our children have to say - even if it isn't good news. How do you deal with these tough conversations? #InterviewTips #JobSearch #CareerAdvice #BePrepared #ResearchTheCompany #InterviewMistakes #JobInterview #StayFocused #CareerSuccess #ProfessionalDevelopment #JobHunting #InterviewSkills

I can’t say I ever personally did this, not even up to my last day at CR. However, I witnessed so many colleagues not give 100% pre-, during, and post-pandemic. Partially due to burnout, partially due to lack of recognition from the top; for whatever the reason(s), companies have a serious problem on their hands as I’ve heard the term over and over across multiple industries. Americans have a systemic workforce issue that is not being addressed as openly as DEI per say. Operating with a quantifiable staff that has “quietly quit” is detrimental on both metrics and morale. Companies should do a true 360 on themselves instead of surveying staff repeatedly without reparations. Change starts top down.
“Quiet quitting” has been defined and redefined. For some, it was mentally checking out from work. For others, it became about not accepting additional work without additional pay.

Growing up, my brothers and I would call ourselves "B3" (B for Betancourt). We always talked about setting something up together to give our parents the financial freedom they deserve. It wasn’t easy for them, moving to a brand new country with three young kids (Jeffrey was just 4), not speaking a word of English, and having no clear skills for a high-paying job. But we never saw them give up (although I wish Mum would have given up with cutting our hair 😂). Mum cleaned houses while Dad worked long hours in restaurants. Fast forward to 2016, and who would’ve thought they’d own a thriving childcare business? This drive is part of why Sofi Recruitment was born—not just to dream big like our parents taught us, but to make an impact in an industry with a bad reputation. With our background in SaaS sales, we connect with clients and candidates on a deeper level, empathising with the challenges of hiring or finding the right role. We don't just match candidates with roles. We understand that behind every CV and job posting, there’s a story, a vision, and a purpose. That’s why we’re passionate about creating genuine connections and offering personalised support. Who knows—if we keep this up, we might even get our older, more risk-averse brother to join us! If you’re looking for a recruitment partner who truly gets it, we’d love to hear from you.
