Damage and Maintenance of A/C Radome !! #damage The most frequent damage to Radomes is holes in the structure caused by static discharges. Though there are damage caused by FOD strikes (dents & scratches) which are not frequent as caused by static charges. #maintenance No matter the repairs performed (minor or major) may affect one or all of the following: Transmissivity, Reflection & diffraction. As poor Radome electrical performance can produce numerous problems which may appear to be symptoms of deficiencies in other units of the radar system. For inspection of #holes, is Visual inspection enough? please share the method you used to inspect the Radome and any other damage found. PHOTO SOURCE: Aeronautics Guide website

A common misconception about Flettner Rotors is that they generate electricity for the ship by capturing wind power, which is easy to understand when a wind turbine might be the first thing that comes to mind for large spinning FRP structures. In fact, Rotor Sails use the power of the wind to generate forward thrust, and they do so by being spun to harness the Magnus Effect. #WindProulsion #MaritimeIndustry #Decarbonisation
🕒 Time for another term from our glossary series! Introducing "Forward Thrust Force"… Generated by the Magnus Effect, Forward Thrust Force is what pushes a ship forward🚢 When an Anemoi Rotor Sail spins, a pressure differential on the rotor skin causes a force; the Thrust Force. The magnitude of the force varies depending on the size of the Rotor Sail, apparent wind speed, and rotor speed. Forward Thrust Force is the component of the Thrust Force that points in the direction of travel of the vessel. Whereas the component force pointing perpendicular is known as the Side Force. ℹ️ Learn more about Anemoi Rotor Sails: https://lnkd.in/ejSM-XTa #WindPropulsion #ShipsAndShipping #RotorSails #SustainableShipping #MaritimeIndustry #FlettnerRotors #Decarbonisation #ThrustForce #ForwardThrustForce #MagnusEffect

Leasing cars for companies often involves equipping the vehicles with essential tools, such as antennas. Traditionally, the installation of these antennas required drilling holes in the roof of the leased vehicles when mounting the antenna. This result in additional repair costs when returning the vehicle after the lease period. However, an efficient and flexible solution to this will be using antennas with a magnetic base. These antennas eliminate the need for drilling holes, making the installation process much simpler and more convenient. Scan Antenna offers a wide range of antennas with magnetic base that are ideal for such applications. These models cater to various needs, whether it's for, navigation applications, VHF/UHF, or both.
