Throwback to last week at #APSEParksSeminar - one of our biggest takeaways was Marcus Gayle’s presentation on activating spaces and communities through SuDS implementation. A great example of this in action is the ‘Thornville Street Rain Garden’ by Lewisham Council. A tarmacked area was transformed into a functional green space, reducing flood risk while enhancing biodiversity and urban cooling. Projects like this show the real impact of blue-green infrastructure in making communities more resilient.
