What other features should we include? We're about 75% done with livestream 2.0. This will take care of the bugs, allow for more scalability, and is more user-friendly based on feedback we've received so far (thanks!) I'm excited to share the news of the public release of the MPEG Haptics Reference Model! 🎉 This initiative includes the reference software for the ISO/IEC DIS 23090-31 standard, focusing on the Coded Representation of Haptics - Phase 1. The project features three essential components: an encoder, a decoder, and a synthesizer. You can find the software on GitHub (https://lnkd.in/e2SJhqbX). Haptics is now recognized as a primary media type, standing alongside Audio, Video and Graphics. This breakthrough allows haptic files to be integrated seamlessly with audio, video and graphics formats in standardized MPEG media. Envision streaming services that provide immersive haptic tracks along with traditional audio and video! The release of Reference Model (RM0) for haptics encoding is a foundational achievement. RM0 lays the groundwork for the final haptic encoding standard, and it's now accessible to the global community. This marks a significant moment in the progression of multimedia technology.
