From battles in the field to battles in the boardroom. Nuri Golan knows how to win. Being here in south Florida, I recently spoke with Nuri Golan, and his story blew me away. Nuri’s journey began in the elite Shayetet 13 unit (Israeli Navy SEALs), where he spent six years as an officer. After his military service, he didn’t just transition to civilian life - he redefined it. 1. He co-founded EXO Technologies (Acquired by Lear), a startup focused on improving GPS accuracy during the rise of autonomous driving. They raised funds in Silicon Valley, scaled fast, and eventually sold to Lear Corporation in 2018. 2. He didn’t stop there. Nuri went on to lead Lear’s corporate venture arm, spin off another startup, and navigate challenges like geopolitics while building global teams. But his proudest venture? Version Bravo. → This accelerator program helps Navy SEALs and other elite combat veterans channel their military skills into entrepreneurship. → Veterans learn how to turn adaptability, leadership, and resilience into business success. → Version Bravo has supported veterans for four years, and Nuri is now considering his next phase: creating a venture fund to back veteran-led startups. Nuri’s story isn’t just about success - it’s about giving back. He’s building a bridge for veterans to step into the tech world and make their mark. - - - - - - What’s your take? How do you think we can better support veterans in their transition to civilian life?
