Have you been almost run down by a dark store bike rider? I have had some close calls multiple times. Why is bike rider in such a hurry? He needs to deliver something in 10min! A major city may not have more than 20-25 dark stores. Which means delivery radius is on avg 3-4Km. If we assume packing time to be 3-5min, A delivery person on avg has to rush 3-4Km in 5-7min. Avg best speed in metro is between 15-20Km/hr. The biker will need be speeding between 40-60km to make this happen. Who is responsible for it? - Customer who has ordered it - Delivery rider who is meeting his SLA - Qcommerce company CEO/shareholders - Government for not stopping this What are other alternatives? We have lot of local retailers who are much closer to us. They need to be digitized. If they are not, worse thing is unemployment will grow more. Be safe!
