Last week, the Steam Next Fest took place, showcasing indie game releases for the coming months. I've uncovered for you the most underrated games that are going to be hits upon release ⬇️ Feed the Deep, created and published by the highly talented Luke Muscat, will delight deep-sea explorers. Procedurally generated underwater caves, resources to collect from their depths, which can be exchanged for upgrades and items to explore even deeper. All this in a heavy atmosphere enhanced by the original soundtrack from maestro Cedar Jones. The second gem is Waltz and Jam, a little bundle of cuteness in which you play as a ghost and an adorable little dog. A delightful blend of old Zelda and Little Big Planet, by the South Korean studio Flyway Games , where creative use of equipment is at the heart of the gameplay. The new game from unexpected games Artisan TD, is a tower defense game in which you must build "tower mazes to deliver the souls of magical warriors corrupted by the TITANS." The quality of the animations, the design of the characters and towers, and the universe have everything to please tower defense fans. In addition to its undeniable qualities, the game benefits from the visibility of Adrien Nougaret alias ZeratoR, a french content creator who owns Unexpected. A new YouTube video by The B1M explores how the popular video game Fortnite has addressed some of London’s most pressing challenges. As one of Europe’s oldest cities, with origins dating back to Roman times, London was not designed for the complexities of the 21st century. This historical backdrop has led to several issues, including traffic congestion, limitations on urban density due to the preservation of historical sites, challenges in constructing new residential and commercial buildings, and a significant housing shortage crisis. With Fortnite it enables Gamers to use a photo realistic version of London where players can edit a digital layer of the city city on how they think and feel the city should look like and will be able to see what the consequences will look like after the completed making all the changes, which is known as Reimagine London. The data that is obtained from the game provides new ideas for future cities and providing an environement where the ideas can be tested to learn from them.

Real question: How many games have done something like this before? Make such drastic changes to the artistic direction? It's great to have had the opportunity to showcase such a visual change in a video that is not linked to a remake or remaster. Huge big up to the team and Evil Empire for taking advantage of an early access to seize the opportunity to make this kind of big changes. The game is amazing by the way, you should definitely check it out.

PAX West was an exciting time for us, both as a company and for Ctrl Alt Deal as it was the first time we received awards for our company, and our games. In total, we received three awards: #PAX Rising Showcase, PAX Together, and PAX West 2024 Team Choice Award. The first one we're going to talk about is the PAX Rising Showcase. While PAX Rising Showcase isn’t an award per se, it is a huge achievement for us. This is how PAX describes the Rising Showcase, “The PAX Rising Showcase is an intensely curated collection of #IndieGames selected by the PAX Team and highlighted on the show floor. If a game is part of the Rising Showcase, it's because we believe the title stands out from the crowd in gameplay, entertainment, or inventiveness; regardless of which genres or platforms you favor.” This is a major accomplishment for our team considering PAX gets thousands of entries for the Rising Showcase, and only 12 were chosen. It reaffirms that we have something amazing here in Ctrl Alt Deal! Recipients of the PAX Rising Showcase nod were given booth space in the Rising Showcase section on the con floor which allowed us to have a second booth, and have even more people play Ctrl Alt Deal at PAX. https://lnkd.in/gGiTYNcG
