As we observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the US, we reflect on the incredible legacy of a man who championed equality, justice, and the fundamental belief that every individual deserves dignity and respect. Dr. King's vision challenged us to imagine a world where people come together to build a better future, lifting one another even in the face of immense challenges. At Intrado, this message deeply resonates with the work we do every day. As a provider of critical 911 services, we are committed to helping communities in their most vulnerable moments. Our role is to ensure that life-saving information gets to the right people at the right time because every life matters. Dr. King once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" In our work, that question isn't just philosophical; it's at the heart of everything we do. By enabling first responders to act with speed and clarity, by connecting people to help in their greatest times of need, and by continuously innovating to make our services more effective, we are answering that question with action. So, let's honor Dr. King not just through reflection, but by recommitting ourselves to serving our communities and providing hope and aspirations for others. -Intrado CEO, Matt Carter #MLKDay #Equality #Intrado #IntradoLifeSafety #WorkWorthDoing #AlwaysThereInAnEmergency

Today, as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I reflect on how his unwavering commitment to service and the uplifting of humanity continues to inspire and challenge us. Throughout the year, I dedicate time to reading about Dr. King’s life and work—not just to remember his words, but to truly understand the depth of his vision and apply it to my own life and work. In 1967, Dr. King isolated himself from the demands of the civil rights movement, rented a house in Jamaica with no phone, and labored over his final manuscript. "Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?" is a significantly prophetic book that feels as urgent today as it did when it was written. Dr. King’s insights into inequality, systemic injustice, and the need for both love and accountability resonate deeply in our current moment. He reminds us that progress requires action—bold, compassionate, and collective. His question of “where do we go from here” is one we must continue to ask ourselves, in our communities, workplaces, and the world at large. Dr. King’s vision is a call to all of us—to persist, to serve, and to keep striving for a world where humanity can truly flourish. How are you honoring his legacy today and every day? Let’s keep the conversation—and the work—alive. For: #KingDay
