When considering buying a home, military families often look for properties near military bases. Living close to base definitely has its pro and cons. Here are some to consider. Pros: ✔ Convenience and Accessibility: possible quick and easy commute allowing for extra time at home with family. ✔ Community Support: this can provide a sense of camaraderie and shared experiences. ✔ Access to base amenities: having access to the base amenities nearby can save time and money. Cons: ❌ Noise and traffic: increased noise from aircrafts, training and traffic. ❌ Potential for higher prices: higher demand can make it challenging to find affordable housing. ❌ Limited diversity in housing options: this means there might not be as many options in different terms of architectural styles and community types. When deciding to buy a house near a military base, make sure to weigh your pros and cons. Carefully consider your family's needs, long term plans and quality of life. Be sure to consult with a real estate agent that specializes in military relocations.

Consider this your sign! If the timing feels right for you to buy, then it's time to make a commitment. If you're concerned about interest rates, it's important to understand that they are not the problem – they may be used as an excuse. Furthermore, if you're renting solely because of interest rates, you are doing yourself a disservice. Essentially, you are already paying 100% interest to your landlord. It's in your best interest to start building equity and setting yourself up for long-term financial success. If you're interested in learning more about interest rates and how you can still buy a home, feel free to send me a direct message! #maryland #washingtondc #southcarolina #buyahome #sellahome #realestate #shelleystuartrealestate #military #miliatryrealestate #home #marylandrealestate
