🏢 UPV hosts the 3rd Training School and PhD Course on Future Communications of the TOAST Doctoral Network 🌐 Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) hosted the 3rd Training School of the European project TOAST (Touch-enable Tactile Internet Training Network and Open Source Testbed), a doctoral network funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme. 📢 The Training School has been organized by the UPV team led by Professor David Gomez-Barquero, member of the Mobile Communications Group (MCG) at iTEAM Research Institute and principal investigator of UPV in the project; and coordinated by Qi Zhang of Aarhus University. ➡️ Throughout the week, the doctoral candidates have received advanced training in technical topics such as 5G/B5G Wireless Communications for Tactile Internet services, and Deep Learning for Visual and Time Series Analysis, as well as transferable skills on Entrepreneurship, Research & Communication, delivered by leading international experts. The course offered intensive training on advanced networking, reinforcement learning, and performance evaluation of mobile networks, combining theoretical foundations with practical sessions to address the technological challenges of future communication systems. The TOAST project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme (HORIZON-MSCA-2022-DN-01) under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 101073465.
