Today, on 1/26 Day, we honor the 1 in 26 people who will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. 💜 Did you know your child is more likely to develop epilepsy (1 in 26) than to play any NCAA college sport (1 in 57)? Despite its prevalence, epilepsy remains one of the most misunderstood and underfunded neurological conditions. At Brave Bears Club, we want to increase visibility and awareness for epilepsy while working to increase funding and supportive resources for those affected. The MVP3 Foundation has donated $35,000 to raise awareness and provide resources for women with uterine issues. Our 'Finding Your Yes with Mind, Body, and Soul' program is aligned with their mission to educate the public about health, empowering the community for overall well-being. The Endro Journal goal is to spread awareness about female uterine illness, highlighting the importance of early detection, prevention, and fertility options. Unfortunately, many women face devastating experiences, losing their ovaries and fallopian tube, which motivates thier mission to help other women detect these issues early on. Many women have Fibroids that are noncancerous growths made of muscle and connective tissue that usually develop during a woman's reproductive years. They are very common, affecting an estimated 20 to 50 percent of women. Uterine fibroids are an extremely common condition in which solid tumors develop in the uterus. They still need to be monitored. Fibroids are not cancerous and do not increase the risk for uterine cancer. It is not known what causes fibroids, but they still cause issues. Many studies suggest genetics and prolonged exposure to estrogen may increase your risk of developing fibroids. Uterine health is very important for women, and we are dedicated to raising awareness by supporting organizations that are committed to helping women's health.

Congenital heart disease (CHD) affects millions of children worldwide, with many facing life-threatening conditions that require immediate surgery. For those born with CHD, access to specialized care is often limited, especially in underserved regions. This is where our mission at Gift of Life International comes in. We provide life-saving heart surgeries to children 14 and under, born with CHD, and train local medical professionals in these areas so they can continue the care long after we leave. In the first 9 years of Cal’s life, he experienced 9 significant surgeries. All ranging from issues related to his heart, lungs, spinal cord, and more. As you can imagine, it was tough for him to be a small kid with so many challenges. At DSA, this is why we exist… To advance scientific discoveries through DS research to uncover treatments that improve overall quality of life.
