Lack of early grid access / capacity is also a factor in the modelling. Doubling existing OHTL capacities in existing RoW’s on existing towers would be a significant part of a solution. This would be replacing (reconductoring)outdated ACSR with readily available and cost effective ‘Advanced Conductors’ and using utility internal maintenance activities to do away with 3rd party / external planning delays https://heatmap.news/climate/clean-energy-grid-reconductoring
