What a great #MediaCritique this column, calling out #CBSmanagement for some of the most egregious #PoliticalCorrectness and #Woke comments in Modern #Journalistic History! What a readable column. #CBS remains my go-to #NewsNetwork, principally because of its great #CBS3 #PhillyNews Anchor #UkeeWashington, a #Delawarean, but I find myself increasingly turn off the National News. How far it has fallen from the days when #WalterCronkite and #EdwardRMurrow set the standard for the post-#WWII Generation Broadcast Newsmen!

Do you write about military "stuff?" I just met with Devon Lancia, Dir. of Partnerships with Military Veterans in Journalism and discovered that they've created a reporting guide. It's like an "understanding military 101" but also shares how to address hard conversations and big issues. Here's what I loved: 👉 They explain rank structure and some acronyms. (That's already a bonus for every military spouse whose eyes glaze over when trying to remember them all.) 👉 They tell you why following their guide provides legitimacy to your story. 👉 They give examples of how terms and issues are addressed correctly or incorrectly. So back to writing about military "stuff"—It is important to get it right. I know I'll be referring back to this when my content needs it. And, if you're a veteran or a military spouse interested in getting into the field of journalism - this organization is a great start. "Fifty-one members of Congress and their spouses own between $2.3 and $5.8 million worth of stock in Boeing and other major defense contractors." That is a drop in the bucket of what Raytheon, Fort Wayne, along with Black Hawk and Lincoln National Corporation has hidden which belongs to me, contrary to what things seem to be. Because I can irrefutably prove personal interest in Raytheon, concealed by lawyers, it is absolutely appropriate that I not carry the burden of truth which has plagued my family for years. It is too heavy on me, what I have found, and I owe it to the toil of my genetic forefathers to make them known. Everyone will be very surprised once the trail from 1945-2001 becomes quite clear with my upcoming report, HUGHES, RAYTHEON, and I. Speaking of 2001 and Raytheon, Fort Wayne, IN, when Lincoln Re (IN) sold the WTC to Swiss Re on 9/10/2001, I just discovered that on 9/11/2001 Raytheon Infrastructures occupied the 91st floor of 2 World Trade Center. Everyone on the 91st floor escaped, and most people below the 91st floor survived. The 92nd floor was total fatality, and more of the same from the floors above 92. There were 110 floors at 2 World Trade Center. Ironically, there were four high ranking Raytheon executives on the planes which flew into the towers.

Few outside the national security and academic communities have ever heard of the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research. With only a few hundred staff, INR has been more consistently right on important topics than its behemoth fellow intelligence agencies, including on the Vietnam War, Iraq WMD and Ukraine. A key factor in its analytic success is that it comprises Civil Service personnel and Foreign Service officers. The former, deep experts in their areas, provide steady consistency and institutional knowledge. The latter, who serve on-the-ground in their areas of specialization, provide up-to-date nitty-gritty knowledge. INR, furthermore, steadfastly buffers itself from political influences, a major failing of the CIA on Iraq WMD. As a veteran, I am deeply concerned about the recent reports linking an active-duty U.S. soldier to a white nationalist group involved in doxxing and harassing journalists and politicians. Extremism within the military poses a significant threat to national security as it erodes discipline, unity, and trust crucial for effective operations. Recent history has shown us the grave consequences of such extremism: from Timothy McVeigh, a former soldier behind the Oklahoma City bombing, to Christopher Hasson, a Coast Guard lieutenant who planned terror attacks based on white nationalist ideologies. These ideologies and acts of hate not only endanger everyone but also compromise the integrity of our armed forces. While the Department of Defense is taking measures to address this issue, it is imperative that we remain vigilant. Extremism has no place in our military, and its eradication is essential in upholding the values we have pledged to defend. #NationalSecurity #Military #Extremism #Leadership #Veterans

Our latest Spotlight outlines the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda architecture and the vehicles it uses on the continent to convey Beijing's messaging. The CCP’s policy architecture for media development, media offensives, and narrative management is multifaceted. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) puts cognitive warfare on par with other domains of warfare like land, air, and sea. Duan Wenling and Liu Jiali, senior educators at the Military Propaganda Teaching and Research Department of the School of Political Science at China’s National Defense University, state that China’s approach to media warfare is to “shape the target audience’s macro framework for recognizing, defining, and understanding events.” According to Xi, “wherever the readers are, wherever the viewers are, that is where propaganda reports must extend their tentacles.” Read more:
