🔥The #IAFF is representing at the American Burn Association (ABA) annual meeting in Phoenix – the top burn care event of the year! This week, the IAFF has been sharing all the ways we support the burn community and providing updates on the International Burn Camp. The IAFF presented on the important topic of “Energy Hazards,” and collaborated with other fire service partners, including the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, medical professionals, counselors, and researchers studying burn prevention, treatment, and long term care for burn survivors. Big shoutout to IAFF Burn Coordinator Phil Tammaro, 10th District Burn Coordinator Hunter Clare, Chris Towski from Cambridge Fire Fighters Local 30 and the IAFF Standards Representative, and Grady Valencis, Deputy Director, Health & Safety Operational Services, for representing at the ABA annual meeting.
