Still 11 months to go, but already now most car manufacturers are well on track complying with their 🇪🇺 2025 #CO2targets 💪🏼 On average, 10 more g/km to go until December. With #ElectricVehicle shares pointing upwards (16% battery-electric, 7% plug-in hybrids) in January, targets seem well within reach. What's your take - will the EU Com succumb to the pressure by OEMs and governments and dilute the 2025 CO2 targets and rules to achieve them?

For those you think the targets are too ambitious, a little reminder of the history of CAFE

Mark my words, this will not happen. Major manufacturers recognise that markets outside the EU play a far greater role in their long-term strategies. Interestingly, many of these markets have not enforced strict regulations, yet EV adoption is still progressing naturally. The EU’s aggressive push for a rapid transition via forced regulation risks significant economic consequences, particularly in the motor trade, where job losses could be substantial. Only a misinformed idiot would think pushing EVs via regulation and not true demand is the answer. The huge job losses it will cause in the motor trade and many aftermarket suppliers and services cannot be ignored either.

Peter Mock Tesla overselling CO2 credits to make ends meet? That would be a great irony to finish 2025 with😂
