FCC decided to open the 5030-5091 MHz band for UAS using a 5G based Dynamic Frequency Management System (DFMS) to assign spectrum dynamically for drone operations to ensure that drones can operate with minimal interference and maintain secure communication links. While there is still much work to be done, this move brings the industry one step closer to fully unlocking the potential of drone technology.
