Thank you #TMForum for organising #DTW24 #Ignite summit and enabling collaboration at scale - 4K+ telco global thought leaders. These 3 days gave platform to listen telco Industry leaders’ priority, and witness possible innovations. I took the opportunity to explore #AutonomousNetwork (#AN). I am overwhelmed with the tech information on Autonomous Network; coming weeks will keep me (and many others) busy in synthesising the learnings to draft evolved AN blueprints/roadmaps to guide our Infosys Consulting clients towards true AN journey. Here is my brief reflections on 4 key questions I posted just before the conference 👉 https://lnkd.in/g4zaZ59T 1️⃣ How AI/ML, GenAI/LLM innovations can uplift AN maturity? 👉 I preferred to listen and see AI/GenAI with possibilities - what’s possible in enabling true AN, as opposed to immediate implementation of it. 👉GenAI possibilities in implementing true intent based networks e.g. TMF 921, incident management (from L1 to L4), and alarms management were fascinating. 2️⃣ How solution providers approaching towards Digital Twin design, a must-have intelligent decision enabler for AN? 👉All catalyst showcases confirmed use of model driven network and service topology for enabling AN, but also informed many CSPs not yet there. 👉There are few CSPs who marched toward building knowledge ontology, a step closer to digital twin, but true digital twin for autonomous decision and verification yet to be seen. 3️⃣ What are emerging disruptors for making true AN a reality? 👉While GenAI is discussed and demonstrated as a tech for true AN, but showed their concern about unavailability of data for training the LLM Models. 👉Small Large Models (SLM) for domain specific GenAI could be a game changer. 4️⃣ What CSP leaders shall consider to successfully navigate through AN hype and reality? 👉Many CSPs passionately presented their journey to achieve TMF AN level 3, and set their target to Level 4. So, Level 4 is coming!! 👉I observed CSPs interpretations of TMF AN maturity framework and scoring guideline were different. It reinforced and validated my thoughts on importance of TMF AN maturity framework in baseline current AN level and setting the target AN level.
