Limber 2 is out and it’s mind-blowing. I recently asked what people prefer for rigging characters. While many preferred Limber, the general consensus was that DUIK was still king for customisation, flexibility and useful tools. For me, this new update firmly puts Limber in the lead as my go-to for character rigging. New features like FreeKinematics, locator layers, autoscale, auto-flop, precomp limbs, puppet limbs, and soon three-bone-limbs make it capable of just about anything. I’m downloading it today and I can’t wait to get started with it. It's been a productive end/beginning of the year. To kick of 2025 I'd like to show off one of the new mechanics I've got working, that is of course switching between the different weapon types on the fly. You can swap between the blade, gauntlets and hammer during a battle, and even mid-combo. I've included a sample combo and some footage of regular combat to show off what's possible. There's still some animation work to be done and some bugs to fix, but I think this mechanic should spice up combat and really reward creative play.
