The many personalities in the hotel industry Personalities are complex and somehow in a hotel there are very specific ones that usually don't get along. Over the years I have noticed that the Front Office Manager usually don't get along with the Executive Housekeeper. I said usually, but it is not always the case. The ones that always loathe each other are the DOSM/Sales Managers vs the Food and Beverage, Banquet Managers and Restaurant Managers 😅 2 people with very contrasting personalities may not be able to work in cooperation due to clash of ideas, work ethics and so on. But on the other hand, I have also seen some use each others strengths to work in harmony and make the most out of the situation. So, in the end it will depend on the maturity of the employees as to how they handle the situation and also, how much each person is willing to compromise.

Let's interact, Do you feel that waiting tables is the easiest job to do? I once heard someone saying that waiting tables and hostessing are easiest jobs to do without having the skills "all you have to do is just smile". I was so shocked and asked myself, do this people really know the challenges waitresses and waiters go through to deliver those services? Do they really know what it takes to deal with demanding guests, managing multiple tables and orders in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with the kitchen staff to avoid delays, navigating diverse guest expectations, long hours on your feet, and maintaining a positive attitude and wearing a smile even when facing difficult situations :, all this while ensuring high standards of service in a setting where guests may be looking for more refined dining experience compared to a typical restaurant. As a person who had a chance to do crosstraining in various departments in the hospitality industry, I can boldly assure you that there is no job without challenges, all of us go through challenges all that matters is how we deal with them. #customerservice #guestexperiences #hospitality #laventor

A hotel waiter isn't just serving food; they're serving experiences. Ready to see how? Change your perspective: A hotel waiter isn't just serving food, they're curating experiences. For many, the role of a waiter is simply to deliver your food and clear your plates. However, in the luxury hospitality industry, a waiter is far more than that. They're the maestro of your dining experience - setting the scene, conducting the flow, and elevating even a simple meal into a memorable event. With keen attention to detail, they spot your half-empty wine glass, gauge your satisfaction level, and anticipate your needs before you even express them. Let's take a moment to appreciate the concierge at The Ritz-Carlton, for example. Their willingness to go above and beyond for every guest doesn't just serve a meal; it serves a memory. And that's the kind of service that keeps patrons coming back. Join the revolution of the hospitality industry. Are you ready to see how you can serve experiences, not just meals?
