In Botswana, small farmers received grants to switch to renewable energy solutions. The environmental and climate impact has been significant. On 25 hectares of farmland, smallholders now water their crops using drip irrigation, saving 770 tonnes of CO2 emissions, 835 litres of diesel per hectare and 30,000 kWh of power.
