Embracing New Horizons: Transitioning from Biomedical Science to Data Analytics 🔬 As I transition from my biomedical science degree to a role as a data analyst, I'm thrilled to bring my passion for science into a new realm of exploration. While the focus may shift from laboratory experiments to data sets and algorithms, the underlying curiosity and drive to make a difference in healthcare remain unchanged. Throughout my studies, I've developed a strong foundation in scientific research methods, critical thinking, and problem-solving – skills that are highly transferable to the field of data analysis. I see this transition not as a departure from my roots, but as an evolution that allows me to apply my knowledge and expertise in a different context. By harnessing the power of data analytics, I am eager to contribute to the broader healthcare landscape by uncovering patterns, trends, and insights that can inform decision-making, drive innovation, and ultimately, improve patient outcomes. I believe that the intersection of biomedical science and data analytics holds immense potential for transformative change, and I'm excited to be a part of it. As I embark on this new chapter, I am grateful for the opportunities ahead and confident in my ability to leverage my background in biomedical science to excel in my role as a data analyst. Here's to embracing new challenges, embracing growth, and continuing to make a meaningful impact in the ever-evolving field of healthcare. #BiomedicalScience #DataAnalytics #NewBeginnings

📌Sharing some of my newly gained experiences from the very beginning 🩺..... . ➡️. .... ... 💻 ⚕️As a #medical professional, I never thought of transition into the #DataAnalyst field. However, I realized that data-driven insights could revolutionize healthcare, and I wanted to be a part of it. I applied my analytical mind and attention to detail, skills I developed in medicine, to data analysis. 🖊️The #transition wasn't easy, but my medical training provided a solid foundation. I adapted my skills to learn new tools, programming languages, and statistical techniques and discovered that working with datasets are somehow similar to treating #patients – diagnosing issues, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress. 🖊️My #medical experience also helped me understand the human side of data. I consider the stories behind the numbers, just as I did with patients. This unique perspective allows me to bridge gaps between healthcare domain and data domain. 🖊️I've come to realize that my transition wasn't a _departure from medicine_ but an evolution. I'm still driven by the same passion to improve lives, now using data as my primary tool. My medical background brings a distinct viewpoint to #data #analysis, and I've found a new way to make a difference. ↩️Moral of the story➡️ Learning in a continuous process, anywhere from any point, it is standardized. #DataAnalyst #Data #medico #NurseToDataAnalyst #Careertransition

Hii Connection☺, 📣🚀Today, I built a new 🎯project focusing on 👩⚕👨⚕healthcare data analysis, 👩⚕specifically an Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) project. This project is particularly important in the medical sector as it involves analyzing various diseases and their corresponding prescription drugs. Through this project, I gained a deeper understanding of different diseases and the medications used to treat them. 👨⚕🚀The project was both challenging and rewarding, requiring a lot of data cleaning and visualization to uncover meaningful insights. I used various data analysis techniques to explore patterns and trends in the healthcare data, which could potentially aid in better decision-making in the medical field. 🎯🚀One of the most exciting aspects of this project was discovering correlations between different diseases and their treatments. This not only enhanced my knowledge but also highlighted the importance of data analysis in improving patient care. Overall, I am very happy and proud of the work I've done, as it has been a fascinating and enlightening experience. #data #datascience #dataanalysis #python #viral #post #viralpost #top

Interested in transitioning your career and becoming a biostatistician working in the life sciences industry? Here is a recommended roadmap: Most companies in the life sciences industry require biostatisticians to have some sort of an advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in some type of statistics-related field (Biostatistics, statistics, public health). The first thing you should do is look into obtaining such a degree (there are several programs that you can complete within one and a half years (full-time) as well as several options that allow you to earn your degree part-time. While you earn your degree you can begin your transition into the life sciences field by taking a job as a statistical programmer. The statistical programmer works hand-in-hand with the biostatistician and so taking a programming job will set you up that much better for your eventual role as a biostatistician (I am also a firm believer that the best biostatisticians are those who have programmed before). That's really it - earn your degree and consider taking a programming job to start in order to make the transition that much easier. If you have any questions about this please feel free to reach out. Happy Monday

🎥 Excited to share my first data science project in healthcare! 🧬 https://lnkd.in/dF2KrjSi In this project, I built a basic risk prediction model for Hepatitis B, combining historical data with machine learning techniques. While the predictions are elementary due to limited data availability (and some creative data interpolation!), this was a great learning experience. 📉 Challenges I dealt with: Managing missing and sparse data across countries, genders, and age groups. Applying statistical and machine learning methods to maximize insights. Exploring how data science can contribute to public health. 👩⚕️ Takeaways: This project solidified my understanding of handling real-world datasets in healthcare, and I’m thrilled with the results despite the hurdles. As someone passionate about the intersection of data science and health, I’m eager to take on more challenges in this field. Feedback and thoughts are welcome! 💡 📽️ Check out my app demo below! #datascience #healthcare #machinelearning #publichealth #careerjourney
