Volunteerism is an important way to build social cohesion, but it requires strong nonprofits to run strong programs, and local organizations don't have the resources to rebuild volunteer programs post-COVID. If #LdnOnt Council doesn't defund Community Grants, perhaps some nonprofits could apply for the funding needed. Ask your Councillor to restore Community Grants: https://lnkd.in/eNy3tv8p #YourVoiceMatters

Facts. Non profits are the most cost effective way of delivering essential services. At Dumbo Octopus Consulting, we’re pushing back against false beliefs that say our clients don’t deserve good pay for what they do, by implementing decent work practices with everyone we support, including living wages and benefits. But compared to the private sector, everyone who works for #nonprofits is actively trying to provide the best service for the lowest cost, that’s literally our specialty. #leadership #charity #nonprofit #budgeting
Ahem. Nonprofits have learned to be the leanest sector out of necessity, and City of London, Canada Council just signed off on changes to maximize accountability for Community Grants. Don't believe the haters. Add your voice to save #LdnOnt Community Grants from being axed: https://lnkd.in/eNy3tv8p #YourVoiceMatters
