Plant nutrition’s future was on full display last week in Barcelona. International Fertilizer Association (IFA) Cultivating Tomorrow was the first IFA event to spotlight the crossover between innovation and sustainability in a real, tangible way. 🔹 During the Startup Showcase, Hadar Sutovsky, GM of ICL Planet and VP of Corporate Investments at ICL Group, moderated a fast-paced session featuring sharp pitches from standout startups: → Stephan Levitsky, Phospholutions, Inc. → Carol Park, SKC → Murray MacKinnon, Sultech Each offered a compelling vision for a more sustainable future. 🔹 The Innovation Workshop, hosted by EIT Food and led by Benoit Buntinx, was a deep dive into how Corporate Venture Capital can drive meaningful impact. Hadar shared practical insights from ICL’s approach to startup collaboration and scale. 🔹 The ICL team—Patrick Haim, Royie Mashiah, Nadav Even-Hen, Nicolas WILLAUME, and Hadar Sutovsky—also actively participated in advisory meetings throughout the week. 🔹 Patrick Haim took the stage during the Circular Economy Session to present a compelling case study on using polyhalite to reduce ammonia and GHG emissions from compost, along with phosphorus recycling from waste streams. 🔹 Congratulations to Sulvaris Inc. and Satish Iyer for receiving this year’s IFA Science Innovation Award. Their breakthrough technology is already making a measurable difference in sustainable agriculture, and this recognition is well deserved.
