Great news for the people of Southwest Dublin and beyond. DART+ South West (SW) is particularly beneficial to people like me who regularly get the train to/from Cork and Limerick. This program introduces the new Hueston West station which allows intercity arrivals at Hueston to get a connection to the East of Dublin, including Connolly Station, Grand Canal Dock, city centre, Trinity College and much more. South West commuters will have quick access to railway links to Sligo, Belfast and Rosslare. While there are great Luas and Bus connections across the city, DART+ SW will ease pressure on these services, with the added benefit that railways are highly reliable and separated from traffic.

Clayco is partnering with Ardurra Group and Alliiance Architects on an 18,000-square-foot terminal expansion, backed by $2.5 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Airport Terminal Program. 🚀 Exciting News for Florida Travelers! 🚀 Recently, Governor DeSantis and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announced that several "Moving Florida Forward" infrastructure projects, including the widening of I-4 and the Poinciana Parkway Connector Project, will commence 10-20 years ahead of schedule! 🛣️ These projects hold immense value for nearly 200,000 travelers who frequent Central Florida's highways. With the I-4 widening to ten lanes and improvements to interchanges for smoother traffic flow, we can anticipate a significant reduction in congestion. Additionally, the Poinciana Parkway Connector will fill a critical 2.6-mile roadway gap, connecting key routes and enhancing mobility in the region. #Infrastructure #FloridaForward #TransportationEvolution

One of the most important things I have learned from the Spanish rail system is the criticality of frequent and predictable service. To attract new riders and remain as a top option for returning passengers, the pattern of service of passenger rail should be intuitive and repeatable, without requiring people to have to plan far in advance. This is a significant step towards consistent service between San Diego, Los Angeles and beyond. This project will enhance mobility within the heavily traveled area and offer alternative routes for local travelers who wish to avoid the Dulles Greenway while still reaching their destinations. Last week, FTA signed a nearly $70 million grant agreement with Sound Transit to support building 2 new bus rapid transit stations for the future Stride S1 line in South King County, WA as part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) program. The Tukwila International Station will include pedestrian bridges and other safety elements, improving connectivity and efficiency. The South Renton Transit Center will be a community hub with affordable housing nearby. RCN is a departmental initiative established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to break down transportation barriers, create opportunities, and enhance safety and transit access. bit.ly/3ZyBTfG

👏 Our resilience work on the Devon cliffs between Dawlish and Holcombe to help protect the iconic coastal railway line has now been successfully completed. 🧗 Work on the £37m project, funded by the Department for Transport, began in July 2023 as part of the South West Rail Resilience Programme. 🎥 Our video shows how we worked on the red cliffs above the railway to install 19,700 square metres of stainless steel and 6,000 soil nails to help prevent loose material reaching the tracks below. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eN2-xF-g Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom
