Here’s my hot take on this: Start with the basics, read the job description and person specification carefully that can be found at the bottom of each of our adverts. These documents are packed with valuable insights into what the hiring team is looking for. Once you’ve reviewed the essential criteria, take the time to tailor your CV and application. Show us why you're the right fit for the role by focusing and aligning your relevant skills and experiences. But here’s the key: Don't just tell us... prove it! Back up your content with fast facts, outcomes and achievements. The more specific you are, the more your application will stand out from the crowd. Remember, it's not just about ticking boxes, it’s about demonstrating what makes you the ideal candidate in a clear, unique and compelling way. 💼✨

This is a post which I recommend no one follow. Advising people to lie is to encourage weakness of character. If a relationship begins with embellishment of your accomplishments (lies), where does it end? When your accomplishments do not support you filling a position with confidence, determine what about you does support it? Self evaluation is an important activity. It is where the rubber meets the road. Do not lie to yourself. Use the evaluation to improve. Preparing a resume and taking an interview is a first rate opportunity to interrogate and improve oneself. It should not be an incentive to write a fantasy life tale. Don’t corrupt the process, or destroy the purpose.
