#salt is big #business in #Australia. It’s #saltmining #industry relies heavily on #export partners like. #china. But things could. Be changing very soon. #mined #Australian #salt now costing about 20% more than #Indian or #Mexican salt in #China. What will these differences mean long term for Australian #mining #saltproducers and #exporters. China is a huge #tradepartner for #Australia with a huge demand for salt. A crucial #supplychain for both sides. Long term #pricetrend for Australia? Or short term effects of a shakey #economy and rising #productioncosts as well as #shipping costs?

Every time I visit Pan African’s new Mogale Tailings Retreatment site I’m astounded at the progress they are making on a project of this scale. At around R2,5b, I don’t know of any comparable capital projects currently underway in South Africa. MTR is expected to commence production by the end of 2024, adding approximately 50,000 oz/yr to Group production, boosting annual output by around 25%. Gold Mining in South Africa has been a significant economic contributor since its discovery in Johannesburg back in 1886. It’s also well known that we could be doing better as a country in leveraging our considerable reserves to better serve our economy going forward. But witnessing the dedication and future commitment on display here certainly inspires hope. #goldmining #miningforafuture #sustainablemining #futuremining #panafricanresources #modernmining #thoughtleadership #goldmarket #gold #goldinvestments #mininginvestment #future #mining #miningreturns #investmentproposition #strategicconsulting #innovation #leadership

Fantastic news indeed! The involvement of CRDB Bank Plc in financing the #Mahenge #graphite project is a significant development for #Tanzania's mining sector. It not only demonstrates the potential for local financial institutions to support large-scale projects but also sets a precedent for other local banks to follow. This move could be a catalyst for the growth of the #mining industry, providing the necessary capital for undeveloped projects to become operational. Such partnerships and financial backing are essential, especially for projects held by local mineral rights owners, as they can lead to increased economic activity, job creation, and technological advancement within the country. The commitment of local banks to finance mining ventures is a positive step towards self-reliance and sustainable development in Tanzania's economy. The Ministry of Minerals - Tanzania #CRDB
