RETURN TO SEOUL WHERE PAST LIVES HAPPENED: After four brilliant weeks in Tokyo I am now back in Seoul meeting with old and new local clients. Work-wise the goal here in Korea is the same it was in Japan: To connect with all sorts of people within creative community and restart those Seoul-based collaborations that in 2020 got suspended because of the global pandemic. It’s been a good first four days. Had three meetings already. Have several more scheduled this week. Ad agencies, brand studios, consulting firms, VC crews, start-up people, ETC’s as well as independent creatives like myself. Human-wise my goal is equally obvious: To better understand this ultra interesting country, culture and its people. Listen, hear, share, receive, learn and observe. Just like in Tokyo, my main inspiration here in Seoul comes from all things urban. I like rooftops, for example. In fact, instead of offices, co-working spaces, libraries or even dull bar tables I normally try to do my work somewhere offline, often hanging out in all kinds of barely legal spaces places and abandoned places, any kind of rooftops like this certainly included. LPA IZANAMI LOOP The Japanese concept of Izanami, as mentioned in Naruto Shippuden basically translates " don't get in some infinite loop of remorse or regret" in general terms. In corporate world, this means not to get caught in some "LPA IZANAMI LOOP" basically. You are earning 5 LPA and you are in constant race for corporate ladders. I only need this much LPA(Your expenditure + Dependents Expenditure + Savings + Rent if any etc.) and not much, even if I am given. No need to constant impress the Boss, excess work loads, office politics etc. Set up an personal target as per your situation, and don't wonder beyond your Lakshman Rekha or you will get in that "LPA IZANAMI LOOP". Not getting caught in some LPA loop makes the office environment good too, in my opinion.

I am admittedly late to the K-Drama bandwagon but I truly enjoy the brand integrations and do think that we can take some tips from them. I have seen this electronic height adjusting table from the brand Desker in multiple K-dramas and the construct is always 3 insertions per K-Drama following the consumer journey - Paint point identification of cramps in an office setup / programmers who work all day .The TG fit is immaculate , it's never in a K drama where there is no office or long sitting hours , no force fitting the rich heir only the hardworking workers. The delight of the customers on being "gifted" the Desker by the considerate employer and the expression of gratitude because let's admit it the HR / Admin are the ones who will make such decision. Third the employee feeling better on a later day having used the Desker and now has in turn become an "influencer" who recommends it to others. The product usage, brand logo display and the use case integration are all commendable especially when you see it on multiple k -drama series you feel the urge to get one yourself . But the integrations needn't just be limited to products another one that caught my eye is how the protagonist is always from Hankuk university so I checked if it is indeed the most prestigious one , turns out it's probably no.17 in Seoul.
