At 90 years old, Delores, a Detroit resident, is gaining newfound independence thanks to a donated scooter from Henry Ford Hospital. This gift, made possible through the generosity of our parking services team and a collaboration with the City of Detroit, will help enhance Delores’ mobility and quality of life. “We believe community engagement is more than just responding in times of need—it’s about fostering lasting relationships and creating meaningful impact,” said Barry Blackwell, our manager of community relations. Special thanks to John “JP” Perez, our director of parking services at Henry Ford Hospital, for securing Delores’ scooter and to Detroit City Council President Mary Sheffield for ensuring the scooter found a home with someone who needed it. 💙
