"Engineering by itself cannot do it, Design by itself cannot do it, and the same for Product. It takes 'fighting'. I like to call it 'fighting' because there needs to be a 'fight'. Challenge is good. The disruption in each others' thinking is crucial for the creative process to happen - and build a great product." A new episode is out, this time with my friend Carlo Mahfouz. Carlo is the Vice President of Strategic Technology Partnerships at Laerdal Medical and the author of the book Reality Check: In Pursuit of the Right Questions. Carlo is such a well-articulated thinker. I love how he breaks things down and I really miss working with him :) We talked about: 🔹How to become a better listener 🔹How to let go of your ego, and why this is key in great leadership 🔹How to foster collaboration between Engineering, Product and Design 🔹Why Engineers should be highly involved in Discovery and practical tips to foster that culture 🔹Why intense debate and “fighting” is a healthy sign of strong product teams 🔹Characteristics of great Tech Leads and differences between just a “senior” engineer 🔹Dangerous false assumptions that Product tends to make about engineering 🔹The impact of AI in society 🔹And more Listen now 👇 Apple: https://lnkd.in/dV5RHcxj Spotify: https://lnkd.in/djd7nwSw Youtube: https://lnkd.in/dEThmcqW

In this age of Quantumverse, the ability to captivate people’s attention with a good story is as essential as the new breakthrough product or a service. Steve Jobs was a master of introducing Apple products through stories. Last month, CEO of world’s number one telecom operator, T-Mobile’s Mike Sievert gave a stirring commencement address at Wharton and his punchline was “All business basically boils down to storytelling.” In a recent interview with Wired, Jensen Huang, CEO and Founder of NVIDIA, the godfather of the modern AI movement said, “Strategy setting is storytelling. Culture building is storytelling. It is really about telling the story” Stories are the vessels that carry our collective wisdom, experiences, and values across generations, ensuring the narratives live on. That’s why I am really excited to host Gil Rosen, CMO, Amdocs to have a fireside conversation about storytelling and technology. His execution of “Make it Amazing” and “Live Amazing. Do Amazing” campaigns is definitely one of the best I have seen in my three decades in the tech industry in terms of impact. I have had the good fortune of traveling with him and present our views to senior executives in the industry. His storytelling superpowers connect the dots precisely. His optimism for how tech can shape the global economy is contagious. We can all learn from his perspectives. You guys are in for a treat. https://lnkd.in/gzeB2Uw #quantumverse #connectedintelligence #mobileff
