Dr. King’s vision for equality was about closing the divides that keep people from opportunity — divides that still exist today, including the digital divide. This is where our work to ‘Build Gigabit America’ makes a difference. From building fiber in more rural and remote locations to participating in our Broadband for Good program, we’re using our fiber technology to connect underserved communities and help close that gap.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to serving others and bridging the divides that separate us. To honor Dr. King’s legacy, we continue to work towards a better, more connected future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. #MLKDay2025 #BuildingGigabitAmerica

Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. today reminds us of the timeless and potent lessons he shared—lessons that resonate as deeply now as they did during his lifetime. Dr. King spoke powerfully about the tension between technological advancement and spiritual development. In his book Strength to Love—he shared: “Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men.” With remarkable clarity, Dr. King recognized that humanity’s rapid technological progress was not accompanied by equivalent moral and spiritual growth. He cautioned against prioritizing material progress at the expense of ethical and spiritual development. Reflecting on his messages today, I’m reminded of how vital it is to balance progress with purpose. It's critically important that compassion, justice, empathy, interconnectedness and love guide us, ensuring that our advancements serve the greater good of humanity. How do Dr. King’s words resonate with you? And in what ways can we strive to cultivate the balance he called for in our lives and work? I’d love to hear your thoughts below. Thank you for sharing a comment. #MartinLutherKingJr #StrengthToLove #HumanAdvancement #SpiritualGrowth #EthicalLeadership #PersonalGrowth #LeadershipDevelopment

"If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl, but by all means, keep moving." - Martin Luther King Jr. With all that's going on in the world, it's easy to feel hopeless and that nothing we do will make a difference. Today, as we honor the true legacy and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., let us heed his words to encourage us to keep going and moving, however small it may seem against the greater task or goal at hand.
