Attend Showcases and Camps Post: Showcases and Camps: Your Ticket to Exposure Showcases, combines, and camps are excellent opportunities to demonstrate your skills and get in front of college coaches. Many of these events allow you to compete with and against top talent, allowing coaches to see you in action. When choosing camps, try to attend those where coaches from your target schools are attending, and make sure to reach out to them in advance so they know your interest. Junior days and school-specific camps also allow you to visit campuses and interact with coaches more personally.

When Preparing for College there are Essential Tips to ace your college application 1. Start Early and Stay Organized: Create a timeline with deadlines for applications, tests, recommendations, and financial aid. Keep all documents in one place and use a checklist to stay on track! 2. Research and Choose the Right Colleges: Identify what matters most to you—location, size, programs, and more. Explore options, attend fairs, visit campuses, and connect with current students to find your perfect fit. 3. Prepare for Standardized Tests: Plan ahead and register early for the SAT or ACT. Practice regularly with official tests and consider extra prep if needed. Aim to take the tests with plenty of time for retakes. 4. Craft a Compelling Personal Statement: Write authentically about what matters to you. Highlight your strengths and experiences, and revise your essay with feedback to make it shine. 5. Seek Strong Letters of Recommendation: Choose recommenders who know you well and can speak to your strengths. Ask early, provide the necessary information, and follow up with a thank-you note. Stay proactive and organized—your future self will thank you!

The summer before high school is the perfect time for students to continue exploring their interests (or trying new things) and taking their extracurricular pursuits to the next level. As you plan out your rising freshman’s upcoming summer break, you might want to consider specialized summer programs, which can help students learn new skills, gain independence, make new friends, and try out areas of interest they may not have the time to do during the school year. https://lnkd.in/gcbwXfyx
