A year ago, I sat down with my sister, Emily Tisch Sussman on her podcast She Pivots, to talk about our journey to ownership with Gotham FC and our vision for its transformation. Since then, we’ve broken records, launched new fan experiences, made history as the first National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team to visit the White House, were featured in Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios' docuseries For the Win, and I’ve become the Chair of the NWSL Executive Committee. But our vision has never been about simply hitting milestones. We’re here to redefine what success looks like in women’s sports. We don’t just want to be the best women’s soccer team—we want to be the best, period. The more we kind of noodles on the language, the more we realize like we actually don't want to be the best women's soccer team. You know, as I said before, we want to be the best. We want to be the one of the best brands, period. We want people to walk down the street in Paris, London, Beijing, you name it, wearing a Gotham shirt. And like if you ask them who are, you know, starting 11, they would say, what are you talking about? Like they have an association just like the Yankees, just like the Knicks, all these great brands do with just your great brand that you want to be a part of and so. I, I think a lot of our work around our, our mission and vision was actually just like setting the ambition higher and saying again, we're, it's not enough to be the best NWSL team, but you know, we should be that that is on the road to it, but we want to be one of the best in the world.
