A month until the Big Game and we want our shot. Wait, what? A tech company focused on digitizing the charter aviation space is trying to do an ad for *the* Big Game? Listen, some might say we’re underdogs in the Big Game ad race—and the AvTech industry. Maybe they're right, but Buster Douglas knows a thing or two about underdogs…after all, he was the only man on the planet to have knocked out the Baddest Man on The Planet: Mike Tyson. We thought there would be no better person to kick off this campaign with, and remind us that anything is possible when you bring your A-game, a sense of humor, and obsession around winning. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we share more videos, stories and some hilarious B-roll. The Big Game is on the horizon, but our drive to push the boundaries of charter aviation is only starting to climb. Do Good. Have Fun. Get Wins. Oh, and, don't forget to visit our YouTube page for all the videos as they become available: https://lnkd.in/er9hrZ62

Twenty five years ago, GM retired a radical concept that promised to transform the future of mobility and foreshadowed a future with EVs that is still proving a challenge for the industry. Is history repeating itself with AVs? This deserves a longer treatment but two things occur to me. One - we all know human drivers are fallible and contribute to crashes that lead to death and serious injury but I think we also underappreciate how amazing we are in being able to perceive hazards, predict the actions of others and plot a safe course the overwhelming majority of the time - and building machines that come close to achieving this is incredible but there is still work to do. And two - being able to prove transparently that machines are able to see, predict and respond to hazards and drive safely in public environments will be a necessary step for the public, commercial deployment - and I wish Cruise had been truly transparent about the incident last year, which may have led to a different outcome now, sadly... Onwards!

Hey beautiful people! I’ve been a bit out of action lately—got a little rusty, got a little busy. You know how it is. Yesterday, my 7-year-old’s homework was all about making paper airplanes, and it got me thinking... As business owners, we’re all pilots in the cockpit, flying our own planes. But let’s be honest—how many of us are just winging it? There’s no shame in that. Nothing is ever fully set in stone. But here’s the thing—you’re not flying a paper airplane, and you’re definitely not playing at business. You’re in it for real. So, no matter the type of business you run, you need checks and measures to make sure everything’s in order. That’s why I’m offering a FREE brand check-up, one-on-one. It’s a chance to capture all the key metrics and make sure your business is flying smoothly. ✈️ Im Marissa Brown - Brand from the inside out #GWinfluencer #getgutsybrand #brandinsideout #brandstrategy

Meeeeeeeow! Whether you’re purring or hissing at the Jaguar rebrand, this is the second best interview you’ll watch appraising the company’s momentous move. Rory Sutherland gives some fascinating insights (as usual) for car purists, marketers and the rest of us. Thanks to Ben Macdonald for highlighting it. Now you’re probably wondering what is the first best (excuse the grammar) interview on the topic. That happened on Thursday at the Transport + Energy Forum fireside chat between Quentin Willson (who knows a thing or two about cars) and Murray Paul (who knows a thing or two about the company’s reasons for the change). One of Murray’s most amusing reveals (to me at least) was the car beneath the camouflage in the spy picks has actually been driving around Warwickshire for the last few months and no one has clocked they’ve seen the future Jaaaaaag. Unfortunately there wasn’t time for questions so I didn’t get to ask whether the space under the massive bonnet will be the world’s most luxuriously cavernous frunk. Always leave them wanting more. And there was a whole lot more of course, so I do hope that interview was recorded and will be published soon. There’s nothing like hearing it from the horses mouth. So come on Alec Peachey, no rest for the publisher! 😉 The world needs to know! For now if you find yourself with 20 minutes free this weekend, have a watch of this gem from The Spectator TV. It’s brilliantly insightful. #electricvehicles #electriccars #evcharging #evcharginginfrastructure #luxury #jaguar #marketing #brand https://lnkd.in/en6JwHJ4

I have always said that being inspired is so important in many aspects of our lives. For me this means taking part in incredible experiences like our recent snorkelling trip in the Bay of Islands (accompanying photo) - with sub tropical fish and my teenage daughters not only participating joyously instead of being attached to their phones... but so much so that they actually gave me permission to capture them feeding the fish amongst the amazing riot of colours under water. In the workplace, inspiration leads to motivation and informs the workplace culture and way of thinking. Whilst my stint at the RAC has come to end, its more than 125 year heritage and the Patrol workforce are exactly that: inspirational. There is a mindset of helping people because that is what breakdown cover is designed to do; give you the reassurance of an expert in a stressful roadside environment and to ensure you get home safely. With FCA regulation come rules and a way of working that provides novel constraints for someone coming from another industry, but actually the pillars of good product management are emphasised in a different way: a formal Product Review, where the objectives are to ensure the product is delivering fair value and to identify opportunities for change, are fundamental to success, particularly with a stable market like breakdown. Ironically, I've just had an RAC Patrol to take at look at our HiAce campervan and had the pleasure of talking to Max, a true #orangehero to get me home.. with a Mobile Mechanic investigation booked for Tuesday ... (more to come on that possibly!) When a great customer experience comes together it is memorable. Among these interactions I love the ones which then enable adventure… that is what Product thinking can really drive and is what motivates me. I have plenty of ideas for the future and look forward to sharing them with you as the James Vincent Enterprises brand emerges during February ;-) #sustainabilitybydesign #productmanagement
