Here is some advice: Avoid accepting a large sign-on bonus. Why? Because it often comes with a claw-back clause, leaving you with limited negotiating power during that period. While it may seem crazy to turn down a substantial check, especially in the current hiring surge for mortgage originators, it's crucial to stay strategic. Prioritize understanding the company's trajectory, leadership, and financial stability. Ask critical questions like, "How will you support my business growth?" and "What steps will you take to help me reach my objectives?" Sign on bonus is a trap! #CareerAdvice #NegotiationTips #workatlower

In today’s fast-paced and competitive world, true success isn’t just about individual achievements; it’s about collaboration, support, and uplifting one another. My words highlight the growing shift towards a more community-centered approach in the mortgage industry. Rather than focusing solely on personal gain, professionals are now coming together to create greater opportunities, foster collaboration, and help one another grow. 🌱💼 For me, it’s not just about running a successful business—it’s about creating a positive impact on the industry and the people within it. At CMS Mortgage, this philosophy is core to everything they do: every client, every partner, and every team member matters. By lifting each other up, we’re all more likely to thrive. When we support one another, we build stronger foundations and create greater success for everyone involved. It’s about mentoring, sharing knowledge, and creating spaces where ideas, collaboration, and opportunity flourish. It’s not just about competition; it’s about working together to make the community better and stronger. 💪✨ My message is a reminder that no one achieves greatness alone. Success is a collective effort, and by prioritizing collaboration and lifting others up, we all rise. It’s time to step up, support each other, and show the world what’s possible when we work together for a common goal. 🌍💡 #CollaborationOverCompetition #CommunitySupport #CorrinaCarter #CMSMortgage #AIMECommunityPulse #UpliftEachOther #SuccessThroughUnity #BusinessWithPurpose #Leadership #WomenInBusiness #MakingADifference

“If you’re being seen, being heard, you’re going to get picked. So get in the rooms.” – Corrina Carter, President, Founder, and CEO of CMS Mortgage, shares powerful advice on the importance of visibility and making an impact in the mortgage industry. During my appearance on the AIME Community Pulse broadcast, I emphasized that opportunities don’t just come to those who wait—they come to those who put themselves out there and actively create the space for their voices to be heard. I am a firm believer that visibility is key to success, especially in an industry where connections and relationships drive growth. This message encourages professionals to step up, show up, and engage in the conversations that matter. Whether it’s at industry events, through social media, or in boardrooms, being present and vocal about your expertise and passion can open doors, foster meaningful relationships, and position you as a thought leader in your field. This insight is a reminder that success is often tied to being proactive, not just waiting for opportunities but actively creating them. So, if you want to make an impact, get in the rooms, speak your truth, and let your presence be known. 🌟 #VisibilityMatters #Leadership #CorrinaCarter #CMSMortgage #AIMECommunityPulse #IndustryImpact #Networking #WomenInBusiness #ProfessionalGrowth #ThoughtLeadership #MakeAnImpact #Empowerment

If you’re in the mortgage world, you know it’s also been a year full of lessons. Here are some things I’m taking with me into 2025: 💡 Mindset is everything – Those who stayed positive and focused, even during challenges, have found ways to thrive. 📈 Consistency wins – Doing the daily activities and staying committed to the process pays off in the long run. 🔄 Adapting to change – Navigating this market meant making adjustments and staying flexible, which separated the doers from the doubters. 🛠️ Back to basics – It’s time to work hard to help borrowers understand the importance of budgeting, breaking down their goals, and asking key questions like “What house can I afford?” 🌟 Positivity fuels progress – When you believe in your goals, work with intention, and keep moving forward, success follows. NOW IS THE TIME! Avoid the holiday-itis — prepare to achieve big things and lay the groundwork for 2025! - #BusinessCoach #MortgageLife #GoalsMatter #StayPositive

** Moving from Wanting Change to Making It Happen ** We’ve all been there—wanting to change but never entirely taking the leap. Recently, I reflected on this common struggle and shared my thoughts in a new video. Here are some key insights: The Desire for Change: 🚫 Recognizing the Need: We often identify areas in our lives or careers that need improvement. 🚫 Visualizing the Goal: We picture the benefits and how life could be better after making the change. The Roadblocks to Action: 🚧 Fear of Failure: What if things don’t go as planned? This fear can paralyze us. 🚧 Comfort Zones: Staying in familiar territory feels safe, even if it’s not where we want to be. 🚧 Overwhelm: The path to change can seem daunting and unclear, making it hard to take the first step. Strategies to Move from Thinking to Doing: - Set Small, Achievable Goals: Break down your larger goal into manageable steps. Celebrate each small victory. - Create a Plan: Outline the actions needed to achieve your goal. A clear plan can reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed and provide direction. - Find Accountability: Share your goals with a mentor, friend, or colleague who can provide support and hold you accountable. - Embrace Failure as a Learning Opportunity: Understand that setbacks are part of the journey. Each failure brings valuable lessons. - Take the First Step: The hardest part is often just starting. Commit to taking one small action today. A Personal Challenge: I've decided to embrace these strategies and take action towards my goals. It’s time to stop thinking about change and start making it happen. Join me in this journey of transformation! What’s one small step you can take today toward your goal? Check out my latest video for insights and practical tips on overcoming inaction.
