Meta released an RFP for #NuclearEnergy developers. "Our aim is to add 1-4 GW of new nuclear generation capacity in the U.S. to be delivered starting in the early 2030s. We are looking to identify developers that can help accelerate the availability of new nuclear generators and create sufficient scale to achieve material cost reductions by deploying multiple units, both to provide for Meta’s future energy needs and to advance broader industry decarbonization." Today Meta announced the release of an RFP to identify nuclear power generation partners to move forward with 1-4 GW of additional green power capacity in early 2030’s. This is exciting to see how hyperscalers can scale nuclear power to be a cost effective solution. The latest reports state that the United States is behind China, who has released 34 GW of nuclear power in the past 10 years and can use this power to scale AI without being limited by power efficiencies. Let’s get to work America! https://lnkd.in/gVugmEtk
